An « AZIMUT 40 » in Courchevel

For the second time, Azimut Yachts France and Azimut Yachts Russia will exhibit in Courchevel, from the 16th December until the 10th January 2012.
The Azimut 40 is a flybridge boat, a new product of the Italian group AZIMUT-BENETTI, a world leader in the yachting industry. A private party during the Russian Christmas will be held on the 6th of January by Azimut Russia and the Royal Yachting Club of Moscow.

After Saint-Tropez back in July, Courchevel is the dreamt place to welcome the Classic Tennis Tour with exceptional tennis players for the Russian Week.
The French and Russian celebrities of tennis Kafelnikov, Chesnokov, Leconte, Bahrami will meet and play on the Olympic Ice rink, invited by Christian Bîmes for this second stage of the tour.

INTERNATIONAL PYROTECHNIC FESTIVAL

In March 2003, Courchevel decided to create the 1st International Festival of Fireworks, unique in Europe.
This competition, in the guise of a massive fireworks display, pits various international fireworks experts against each other. Lots are drawn to decide which competitor performs at which location in Courchevel.
Every Year, over 8000 spectators, watch this event over a vin chaud offered by Courchevel Tourisme.
The International Fireworks festival celebrates its tenth anniversary! For this occasion the winners of the last four years will compete for first place!

DERBY DU ROC MERLET

Get your rig ready, the Roc Merlet derby is back on Saturday the 17th of March 2012 in Courchevel 1650!
Derby's rules are simple: riders have to reach the top of Chamrosa chairlift (alt: 8202 ft) then they'll all race down to Courchevel 1650 right after the resort close! The start is given in groups of 10 and riders can be in categories such as : skis, telemark, or snowboard snowscoot. The running time to swallow the 850 meters is just under 4 minutes for the fastest.
After the race, until the awards ceremony, a drink and a Savoyard meal will be offered to all riders.
The derby is open to anybody but a minimum level is required.
It will be fun with easygoing racers and serious competitors. So book the date as soon as you can ... and come with all your friends !
